Community Partners

Laurelwood Program Al and Autumn started coaching couples as a ministry within Laurelwood (www.laurelwoodbc.org) in 2001. This involved developing training materials and a program for offering couple coaching services, which started in the fall. Al and Autumn were the lead couple for a couple mentoring ministry modeled after Mike McManus’ Marriage Savers program. Al is a trainer and Autumn is a volunteer manager and together they developed training materials and trained the couple coaches at Laurelwood. They and other couples provide the coaching to couples seeking to work on their pre-marital or marriage relationship. Through March 2006, over 50 couples have been coached at Laurelwood.

Thriving Families of Clark County was formed to promote marriages & families as a foundation towards a stronger community in Clark County, WA. TFCC hopes to establish community partnerships with faith-based, business, government, medical/mental health, social services, education and other organizations all collaborating toward the common goal of improving family life through stronger marriages. Association of Marriage and Family and Ministries (AMFM) (www.amfmonline.com) located in Phoenix AZ was organized out of the great need to resource and train individuals, local church ministries and para-church organizations to more effectively minister in the areas of Marriage and Family. Its purpose is to give those in Marriage and Family ministry access to the finest resources and the training of those resources, by bridging the relationships between the Resource Providers and Resource Users. AMFM is totally committed to serving the needs of its members, the resource providers, trainers, and the individuals called to Marriage and Family ministry. Members have direct input in the direction and focus the association takes. AMFM holds an annual Marriage and Family Ministry Conference to bring its members together to encourage, equip, motivate and train so they can effectively serve the Marriages and Families God brings to them.

Healthy Families International is lead by Diane Moore and operates in the Portland, Oregon area.  Healthy Familes believes that parents are the most powerful people on the planet.
